Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and quickbooks data entry. The ideal candidate has a strong background in bookkeeping, is proficient in quickbooks and spreadsheets, and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses, in a timely manner.
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
- Handle accounts payable, verifying and processing invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
- Maintain an organized filing system for financial documents and records.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or small business setting.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks) and advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) are a must.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
