Position Overview

If you are looking to be challenged and advance in your accounting career, this may be the position for you!  Supplement Xpress is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist.  Your key responsibilities will be centered around managing and recording expenses, processing vendor payments, and ensuring proper financial documentation. This role ensures that payments to vendors and operational costs are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses, in a timely manner
Communicating with vendors for payments and returns
Ensuring vendor credits are applied to avoid financial losses
Maintaining detailed records of all expenses and bills and classifying them to their correct categories
Verifying and matching product received vs payments made
Managing and maintaining a detailed filing system
Managing Online Fraudulent sale disputes
Sales Tax Identification/Processing
Processing child support checks promptly each payroll period
Reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies
Preparing, organizing and delivering monthly reports to other staff accountants

Additional Responsibilities

Memos and documentation
Follow ups via email, phone, and correspondence 
Making deposits 
Working as a team with the rest of the accounting/admin staff

Requirements

Previous experience in accounts payable or accounting
Skilled in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Minimum of three to five years of accounts payable experience required
Ability to work and manage multiple bank and credit card accounts
Full understanding of accounting practices and workflow
